You guys! You are awesome, and I trust you, but so many of you have suggested Garmins (here and on Twitter) and they are so many dollars! Even Garmins on eBay are more than an extra battery pack for my iPhone! Which I’m not going to buy, either! Which sucks, because I’d love to have one.

I like the ability to log rides and see my performance, but I think I’ll be sticking to using my phone for navigation and halfheartedly plotting my route via Google Maps once I get home.

Also, I feel really baller for biking 50 miles yesterday, but I am still very, very reticent to get into cycling as a sport. It’s going to be hard to shake my distaste for what dudes in Spandex have done to it as a mode of transportation.
